AltRider Skid Plate for the KTM 1190 Adventure / R (2014+)
There has been a lot of buzz around the KTM 1190 Adventure and it’s not hard to see why. With a V-Twin sending 150 HP to the rear wheel the orange beast is comfortable cruising at highway speeds and downright scary ripping up trails. Step up to superior protection and ride worry-free with a skid plate from AltRider.
The AltRider skid plate is laser cut from aluminum with an anodized finish that is extremely resistant to weathering. The intelligent design features large radius corners and flared edges to provide absolute coverage for the motor clutch pack and stator while maintaining exceptional strength. The skid plate also provides coverage for the side stand mount — eliminating the need for a side stand relocation kit. Special consideration was made to preserve the impressive ground clearance and turning radius of the KTM.
The front of the skid plate mounts via steel brackets that utilize OEM mounting points. The rear brackets are also precision manufactured from steel. AltRider created the only design on the market that attaches to the frame and the footpeg mounting point. The frame + footpeg mount combo creates an incredibly strong support that will easily handle the rough terrain the 1190 Adventure was built for. The keyed design of the rear brackets adds strength while simplifying the installation process. To further bolster the side stand strength the rear mounting bolts pass through the side stand mounting bracket.

Note: KTM made a change to the rear engine mount between the 2013 and 2014 models. If the right rear frame mount is threaded select 2013 in the model year drop down. If it is not select 2014 from the drop down. The picture on the right highlights the engine mount that was changed.
