The Kawasaki KLR is a rough and tumble machine that deserves real protection. Give your motor the coverage it needs with an AltRider Skid Plate for the Kawasaki KLR 650.

Made of 1/8€ (3.2 mm) anodized aluminum the skid plate shields your sump and water pump from kicked up dirt and debris. It also prevents the extremely vulnerable oil lines from ending your ADV ride abruptly. There are no fasteners to catch and all seams are hand-TIG welded for the highest possible strength. Available in silver  or black. 

The skid plate can be mounted with either the stock stamped steel brackets or AltRider’s 3/16€ (4.8 mm) stainless steel brackets for serious use (additional charge for AltRider brackets). AltRider designed new brackets for the KLR to give you a stronger alternative to the flimsy stamped metal brackets – allowing you to take your bike into new territory worry-free. The AltRider brackets give the skid plate a solid foundation to distribute impacts – ensuring your motor is completely protected on the trail.
